Becoming a Member
The RBOA was founded in 1974 with Bill Taylor as the first president. The purpose of this organization is to promote the preservation of Richardson boats by serving the interest of its members through fellowship and communication. Since its' founding over 700 membership plaques have been issued and approximately 200 boats have been listed in the International Registry of Richardson's. The Registry is an effort to identify and keep track of all existing Richardson's. It is not necessary to be a member to list a Richardson in the Registry.
